The Lake County Library District is a special library district with a dedicated tax base to support the operation of the libraries. For every $1.00 paid in property taxes in the county, about $0.03 go to support our libraries, on average. The library system is governed by a five-member board of directors. Board members are elected by voters to a term of 4 years, and may be re-elected. Current board members are:
Lake County Libraries is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Lake County Libraries
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
